Horndean Football Club are delighted to welcome young midfielder Ollie Erdinc to the Kingsmere Group Stadium.
The midfielder came through Eastleigh Academy, playing under current Horndean assistant manager Andy Darnton. Ollie would go on to sign for AFC Totton, who last season earnt promotion from the Southern Premier League.
Last season, Erdinc had a stint on loan at Wessex League outfit Downton, at the time managed by Shaun Hale.
Ollie gave his thoughts on his move to the Deans, and looks forward to the challenge ahead:
'I'm buzzing to be here. Having previously worked with Shaun and Darts before, it felt right, it made sense to join.
I played for Darts (Andy Darnton) at Eastleigh Academy, he's a great coach and is very well known, he also has a great knowledge of the game.
I more recently worked with Shaun Hale, last season at Downton. I really liked his relaxed coaching style and the respect he has for his players, and his success speaks for itself.
It's a tough league, especially this season with a lot of local derbies, along with some big names. It's going to be a real challenge but I'm well up for it.
I want to bring high energy in the centre of the park, I love being involved in the game, attacking and defending. I want to cover lots of ground and work hard for the team.'
Welcome to the Deans, Ollie!
